Dear Families,
Welcome back to school! I
am Mr. Crain-Davis and I am very excited to be joining Sabin Magnet School as your
new technology teacher. I am new to the
school this year, but I am not new to the teaching profession. Previously, I have worked in the Garfield
Park, West Lawn, Uptown, and Englewood neighborhoods of Chicago teaching grades
ranging from 4th – 8th grade. I have a computer science and math background,
both areas I feel will be beneficial this year.
Technology is a new auxiliary class being provided for the
enrichment of the students at Sabin Magnet School. In this course, we will be learning about the
basic operations of computers, such as working with the hardware to run the
computer, we will be looking at various software and applications to learn how
to maximize efficiency when working with these programs, and we will be
utilizing the web to develop projects and learn about the opportunities that
the internet provides.
